Dundalk Ice Dome will be the place to be this coming weekend as Dundalk becomes the ice hockey capital once again. 3 IIHL Development Division Games will take place while Team Ireland and the Belfast Giants also compete in games.
Saturday night will see an IIHL Development Division clash as the Latvian Hawks ‘B’ take on title challengers, the Kilkenny City Storm at 10:30 p.m. This is an extremely important game for both teams as it will greatly impact the standings. This will follow the Belfast Giants playoff game against the Newcastle Vipers.
Sunday afternoon will see Team Ireland face off against an IIHL Select Team in preparation for the upcoming IIHF World Championships in Romania. Faceoff is at 4:30 p.m. Later that night, 2 games in the IIHL Development Division will take place. At 9:30 p.m. the Whalers will take on the Latvian Hawks ‘B’ and following that game at 10:30 p.m. league leaders, the Dublin Wolves will play the resurgent Dundalk Bulls ‘B’.
