The IIHA are pleased to announce that it has appointed the General Manager and Head Coach for both the Women’s Irish National Team and the U20 Irish National Team.

All have commenced their work already as they plan out the season ahead. We wish them nothing but success in their positions in the future and we are certain that each will excel in their positions.
WOMEN’S IRISH NATIONAL TEAM
Ashley Moore will return as the General Manger of the Women’s team for the 2010 / 2011 season. Ashley is the IIHA’s current Women’s Development Officer and has been heavily involved with ice hockey in Ireland since the inaugural season of the IIHL in 2007 / 2008 season. Ashley brings a wealth of experience as she continues in her role. For each of the last three seasons, Ashley has been the General Manager of the Dublin Rams in the IIHL as well as organising several development camps and trips to tournaments abroad for the women’s teams. While on top of that, Ashley has even managed to fit in time as a player playing for the Dundalk Bulls Ladies and Belfast Ice Vixens.
Vytautas Lukosevicius also returns as the Head Coach of this team and he will continue where he left off. He will no doubt put he team through their paces as they prepare for their Division V Championship in Bulgaria next March. Like Ashley, Vytautas has been heavily involved in Irish ice hockey over the last number of years since the opening of the Dundalk Ice Dome late in 2006. Having helped out the Dundalk Bulls with their initial junior development plans, he then moved on to become the Dundalk Bulls Ladies Head Coach where he has thrived in his role.
Both Ashley and Vytautas are just back from the 2010 IIHF Women’s Hockey Development Camp where they will have picked up some excellent tips to help them prepare for the tough season ahead.
U20 IRISH NATIONAL TEAM
Following his huge success with the U18 Irish National Team, Jim Pepper will take on the responsibilities of the General Manager for the U20 Irish National Team this coming season. Jim is a seasoned veteran when it comes to organising and planning a team for huge competitions. Having done it for several years with rugby, Jim took on the responsibilities of General Manager for the Dundalk Bulls and the U18 Irish National Team last season to huge acclaim.
Kenneth Redmond will become the Head Coach for the U20 Irish National Team. Kenneth or Kenny has he is commonly known, will bring a wealth of experience to this important age group. Kenny has played the sport had its highest levels here in Ireland and for over twenty years throughout the United Kingdom where he has won multiple awards and acclaim. More recently, however, Kenny has been heavily involved in coaching here in Ireland since the opening of the Dundalk Ice Dome late in 2006. Most recently, Kenny was the Head Coach for the Dundalk Bulls in the IIHL where led them to league success in 2009. Kenny was also a major influence on the club’s junior development assisting heavily with the underage teams and programmes.
The international scene is nothing new to Kenny either as he was the Assistance Coach for the U18 Irish National Team in 2009 when they won a bronze medal in Erzurum, Turkey. Kenny also served as the Assistant Coach for the Senior Irish National Team this past season when they won a gold medal in Kockelscheuer, Luxembourg.
