Dear Members,

I would like to give all the IIHA members an update regarding the recent EGM held in Sport HQ.

I can confirm that the proposed amendments from the 2011 AGM to the Irish Ice Hockey Association (IIHA) Memorandum & Articles of Association (M&A) have been voted on and approved by the IIHA “Full Members” present at the EGM.

The approved amendment states “Subject as provided otherwise in these Articles, a Director, shall hold office for a term of two Office Years. Consequently, elections for Directors shall take place in the same year as elections for Chairman, so that the elections for both Directors and Chairman shall occur together on “odd years”.’

The above is now being filed with the Company Registrations Office (CRO) by the IIHA solicitor Mr. John Hogan and as soon as this process has been completed, the IIHA Executive Committee will proceed with holding its 2012 AGM under the new amended M&A of Association.

Due to circumstances beyond the control of the IIHA Executive Committee, the date discussed at the EGM for the 2012 AGM will hopefully be Sunday the 16th of December at a venue and time TBC to all the IIHA members via the IIHA website.

I can also confirm the IIHA Executive Committee have received the resignations of two of its Directors Mr. Kevin Kelly and Ms. Seanna Conway, on behalf of the IIHA Executive Committee, I would like to thank both Kevin and Seanna for their years of service to the IIHA and we wish them all the best for the future.

Finally I can confirm to the IIHA members that the IIHA is operating and conducting its business in full compliance with Irish Company Law and following the announcement at EGM, the IIHA has two new Interim Directors Mr. Mick Cummins and Mr. Pat Kelly and I would like to take this opportunity to again welcome both Mick and Pat to the IIHA in their new Interim Director positions.

Thanking all IIHA members for your time, consideration and understanding on the above very important matters for the IIHA.

Kind Regards,

William Fay,
