WHAT: Goaltending Skills Course

The IIHA are pleased to announce that a Goaltending Skills Course will take place in two weeks time. The course will take place in Dundalk Ice Dome (www.dundalkicedome.com) on Sunday the 9th of May. The cost of the course is €10 per person.

To register for this course you must contact Ms. Seanna Conway at seannaconway@iiha.org no later than Thursday 6th of May. Once registered, participants will receive a full schedule of the day’s events.

GENERAL DETAILS
This course is aimed at experienced goalkeepers who would like to refine their skills and also individuals who are new to the position but would like to learn the basics of goaltending.
The course instructors include former International and Olympic goalkeeper for Norway Rob Schistad, qualified goalie coach from the U.S. Seanna Conway and EIHA Referee in Chief Mr. Mohammed Ashraff.
All those attending must be in the Dundalk Ice Dome no later than 9:00 am where after introduction on-ice drills will begin at 10:30 am.
The on-ice drills will last for approximately one hour and thirty minutes and will be followed by classroom information at 1:15 pm in the Fairways Hotel with Mr. Mohammed Ashraff providing information on the IIHF rules governing Goaltenders. This will be followed by a further classroom session on nutrition and physical conditioning for goaltenders.
