As stated previously, as a result of the IIHA’s current season being delayed due to the closure of the Dundalk Ice Dome, the membership of those players whom were registered last season was extended until Sunday, 14th November 2010.
This date has now past and all members (both playing members and non-playing members) are required to renew their membership with the IIHA. This includes insurance cover and any members who have not renewed their membership after Sunday, 14th November 2010, will no longer be covered under the IIHA’s insurance policy. Similarly, any members who do not renew their membership risk having their membership of the association lapse.
PLAYERS OVER 18
All players over 18 years of age will be required to pay the normal €25 IIHA Membership Fee plus also the €30 IIHA Insurance Fee as standard. As a result of having no league or regular competitions taking place at present, the IIHA have decided to forego the playing fee of €25 usually paid by all players for the time being. However, if the IIHA at any stage this season organises and arranges a league or realistic competition structure and a player wishes to compete, they will be required to pay the remaining €25 playing fee.
The total amount required is €25 (Membership Fee) + €30 (Insurance Fee) = €55
PLAYERS UNDER 18
All players under 18 years of age will be required to pay the €15 Insurance Fee. However, the IIHA Membership Fee for those under 18 will be waived this season.
The total amount required is €15 (Insurance Fee) = €15
NON-PLAYING MEMBERS
Non-Playing members will be required to pay the €25 IIHA Membership Fee as standard. However, if such a member is a team official and in order to be covered by the IIHA insurance policy, they will be required to pay the IIHA Insurance Fee of €30.
The total amount required is €25 (Membership Fee) = €25
The total amount required if a team official is €25 (Membership Fee) + €35 (Insurance Fee) = €55
All players will be required to register and insure prior to stepping on the ice for the next IIHA event. Rather than individual players contacting the IIHA to register, we ask that managers and coaches try to handle the collection of fees and forms as standard and then deal with the IIHA directly on getting the players registering and insured. If necessary, individual players can contact the IIHA directly at office@iiha.org.
Should anyone require further information or have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact the IIHA at office@iiha.org.
