The IIHA Saints rose to another fresh dry morning in Reykjavik following the game the night before. The Saints had some time on their hands during the early part of the day and all headed into Reykjavik on the bus to see the sights and get to know Iceland a bit better. The team spread wide around the city and had a great time visiting some of the cities best restaurants and shops.
Occasionally, the Saints had to dodge all of the local graduating students from the colleges who were on a treasure hunt / task run. The Saints saw characters from Monsters Inc., Ghostly brides, superhero’s and many more before heading back to our accommodation before heading to the rink for the second game.
The IIHA Saints arrived at the Icelandic National Rink (Laugardalur) and played a tight game against one of the local teams. The IIHA Saints took the win after an end to end game with lots of great hockey. The players on both side played very well and showed all present that the players were giving their all to the sport.
Following the game it was back to the accommodation for another nights rest before the final full day in Iceland.
