Last Saturday, the 8th of March at the Sport HQ in Blanchardstown, the IIHA’s Referee in Chief Vytas Lukosevicius conducted our first referee’s introduction course. The IIHA is looking to get our members to be involved in different aspects of the game. Vytas spent several hours teaching the future referee’s the basic concepts and rules of being an on ice official. It was a very insightful and informative look into this position. If you are interested in becoming a referee or are just interested in fully learning the rules of the game Vytas plans on holding a full Level 1 referee’s course in August of this year.
