Ireland in Vierumaki – Day 3

Tuesday, 17th July

We’re starting to get into a routine here in Finland – off to the classroom first thing after breakfast. Today we worked on some off-ice games that can help the players with on-ice skills so that we can make the most of the time we are actually out on the ice.

As usual, the Finnish kids arrived after lunch for the practice, which despite many of us being new to coaching, went really well. It’s fantastic to have a mix of experienced coaches who can help out beginners like me.

Fortunately for me, I think the LTP group has the most free time during the day, so I got a chance to have a look at one of the high performance camp practices. It was a goalie practice, so Seanna was there working hard with her players.
