The Irish Women National Team Select recently held a Pub Quiz Fundraiser at the Dundalk Ice Dome on August 1st. This Pub Quiz was part of a weekend of training and was very successful in terms of raising funds for the team’s trip to Sweden in September. The team was able to raise a total of €500 between the Pub Quiz and a joint raffle held on the night. Special thanks to all those who participated, helped out and donated prizes including: Dundalk Ice Dome, IIHA, Willy Fay, Jim Pepper, Dublin Rams, Women’s Development Program, and all the IIHL teams that purchased tables.
A special thanks to the Dundalk Ice Dome is duly deserved as the entire weekend including the Pub Quiz could not have helped without their generosity and hospitality.
Final thanks go to Jim Pepper whose tireless organisation and assistance made the night a huge success.
On the Back of the Pub Quiz the IIHA has decided to donate a signed game worn Mark Morrison team Ireland Jersey and an autographed team jersey from the recent world championships. These jerseys will be used to help raise money for the Women’s National Team Select. These jerseys will be raffled off starting on August 15th and details will be posted here on www.iiha.org.
