The intended purpose of the IIHA is to foster develop and promote the sport of ice hockey in Ireland.

We aim to do this by assisting in the developing of arenas and ice facilities by providing all the technical assistance necessary.

The IIHA plan to develop junior programs and youth development fair play and respect schools.

In tandem with the IIHF, the IIHA will introduce learn to play programs for boys and girls, incorporating a schools program and heavily subsidising protective equipment for all players.

The IIHA will use its IIHF qualified Technical Director to liaise with our coaches to provide the best training methods from novice to professional competition.

To work with all media domestic and International to promote ice hockey in Ireland.

To pursue and attract the allocation of International Amateur and Professional events and or competitions in Ireland.
