Team Ireland Article Appears on Home of IIHF.com

Today (Wednesday) an article about Team Ireland competing at the IIHF Division II Group B World Championships in Croatia was published on the International Ice Hockey Federation’s website, www.IIHF.com.

The well written article, which was written by IIHF Reporter Henrik Manninen who contacted the IIHA ahead of Ireland’s campaign at the World Championships, explains the effect the closure of the Dundalk Ice Dome had on Team Ireland preparations for the tournament and the fact that we need more ice rinks in Ireland. It also gives an in-depth analysis of other areas of the sport here in Ireland and how the IIHA continues to develop and improve.

It’s great to see the ever growing relationship between the IIHA and the IIHF going from strength to strength, as this is the second time this season that an article about Irish Ice Hockey appeared on www.IIHF.com, the other article can be viewed at http://www.iihf.com/home-of-hockey/news/news-singleview/article/historic-weekend-for-ireland.html?tx_ttnews%5BbackPid%5D=218&cHash=3146f79f2d.

The IIHA would like to thank Henrik Manninen for his time and efforts in highlighting Irish Ice Hockey on the international stage.
