The Irish are Coming! – The Irish are Coming!

The Irish Ice Hockey Association is delighted to announce that the IIHA Saints have departed Ireland this evening (14 Jan 2018); destination Korea. The Saints have a very long journey ahead of them as they travel from Dublin to Amsterdam and then on to Korea. As their National Governing Body, we are very proud of the achievements of the players, coaches, management, parents and supporters. Ireland has NO permanent ice facilities as to think that our Saints teams in a number of age categories have travelled the World is a huge testimony to the current Executive Committee of the Association, our Directors and dedicated members who go above and beyond the call of duty in support of the New Era in Irish Ice Hockey. The Irish are most definitely coming and we intend to continue unabated and determined to see our sport flourish in Ireland.

The Under 12 IIHA Saints are made up of players from Dublin’s Flying Ducks, Kilkenny City Storm and the Cork Wolfpack. The players are ready; the coaches are ready. The sponsors have been superb in helping to make this journey of a lifetime a reality. We are eternally thankful.

The IIHA will be updating its web and social media throughout the tournament. Please be sure to like, share, tweet and retweet our posts. The Saints will be informed of the support from Ireland each day.

For now; we wish our Saints a safe journey to the other side of the World. Go IIHA Saints Go!!!!

We confirm that our organisation complies with The Governance Code for the Community, Voluntary, and Charitable Sector in Ireland.
