U18 Team Ireland – FINAL TRYOUTS

WHAT: U18 Team Ireland – Final Tryouts
WHERE: The Odyssey Arena, Belfast, Northern Ireland
WHEN: Saturday, 15th January 2011
COST: £10 Sterling

Final Tryouts for the U18 Irish National Team will take place on Saturday, 15th January 2011 at The Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

This will be the Final Tryout before the team is selected. Players who do not turn up for this trial are effectively removing themselves from the selection panel. The team will be selected following this weekend and notified no later than Monday, 17th January 2011 by email.

The format for the day is as follows:

10:00 am – 10:30 am: Registration
11:00 am – 12:00 pm: On-Ice Practice Session
12:00 pm – 12:15 pm: Break / Ice Cut
12:15 pm – 1:15 pm: Practice Game v Select Ireland Team



All U18 players should arrive at The Odyssey Arena no later than 10:00 am for registration.

A charge of £10.00 sterling is payable by each player to contribute towards the cost of the ice time.

On the day, each player must provide a current valid email address as well as advise of any medical conditions i.e. asthma.

All players wishing to be selected for the U18 Irish National Team must be available to travel to the 2011 IIHF World U18 Championship in Mexico from Friday, 11th March 2011 to Monday, 21st March 2011 inclusive.

Please arrive at The Odyssey Arena at least one hour before the game i.e. 11:15 am.

Any players interested in playing on the Select Ireland Team should also contact Jim Pepper at jimpepper@iiha.org beforehand.

PLEASE NOTE: On arrival at The Odyssey Arena, players will be directed to the changing rooms & seating area. The Odyssey Arena does not want people wandering around as this creates a health and safety / security issue for them. Please respect their wishes and do as requested by staff.
