USA Hockey and the IIHA Join Forces

The IIHA, the National Governing Body for the sport of Ice Hockey in Ireland, is proud and excited to announce that we will be hosting a USA Hockey Level 1 & 2 Coaching Course. USA Hockey instructors Bill Switaj and Scott Paluch will conduct the course at Sport HQ in Blanchardstown on 26/1 and 27/1 and in Dundonald on 28/1.

USA Hockey Director of Coaching Education Programs, Mr. Mark Tabrum, commented that “this is a very exciting time for both USA Hockey (USAH) and the Irish Ice Hockey Association (IIHA). The two federations have joined forces to help educate ice hockey coaches in Ireland. This is the first time that the two federations have worked together in coach education. USA Hockey will be conducting two levels of certification (Levels 1 & 2) in the classroom along with an on ice session for the coaches. The clinic will take place January 26-28, 2018. This will be a great educational experience for both federations as well as the youth hockey coaches in Ireland“.

The course fee is €100. Upon successful completion participants will be certified through USA Hockey and the IIHA as Level 1 and 2 Coaches. All interested must contact IIHA President, Aaron Guli, to reserve their place. All places must be paid in advance. This course is open to all interested in coaching hockey.
