VOLUNTEER WANTED: Junior Development Officer

The IIHA invites applications for the position of Junior Development Officer.

The position is voluntary and the successful candidate will commence work June 2010.

A select number of applicants will be called for an interview and following these interviews the Junior Development Officer will be appointed.

GENERAL DETAILS

Your roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•oversee the operation and implementation of the IIHA coaching structure e.g. organising coaching courses and providing certification to those who attend these courses
•oversee the operation of the IIHA Learn To Play programmes
•liaise with all clubs involved in junior hockey to ensure that junior development remains on the agenda of the IIHA
•act as a representative for junior hockey at meetings as determined by the IIHA
•organise junior hockey tournaments in Ireland

Immediate tasks will include but are not limited to:

•make contact with each club to establish the viability of leagues at all under-age categories
•establish what infrastructure is needed to assist all clubs in participating with the development of junior ice hockey in Ireland

The position:
•will involve approximately 2 – 3 hours of work per week off-season and 4 – 5 hours per week in-season

The Executive Committee will work with you to further define your roles and responsibilities.
