The IIHA invites applications for the position of Public Relations Officer.
The position is voluntary and the successful candidate will commence work June 2010.

A select number of applicants will be called for an interview and following these interviews the Public Relations Officer will be appointed.
GENERAL DETAILS
Your roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
•create and distribute press releases to all media outlets on all events of the IIHA
•work with the various IIHA Officers to ensure that the sport receives maximum exposure both nationally and internationally
•to be the IIHA official person to handle all requests for interviews with officers and members and to deal with all other media requests
•act as a spokesperson for the IIHA on a variety of topics as deemed appropriate by the IIHA
•source and provide regular content for the IIHA official website and work with various IIHA Officers to ensure that the IIHA website is the primary source for all IIHA related information on the world wide web.
•assist the IIHA in securing sponsorship for all activities
Immediate tasks will include but are not limited to:
•creating a database containing contact details of all media outlets both nationally and internationally that are of interest to the IIHA
•make contact with all media outlets both nationally and internationally that are of interest to the IIHA and establish opportunities available for publicity of IIHA activities
•work with the Editor in reviewing all information currently made available by the IIHA to the public
The position:
•will involve approximately 2 – 3 hours of work per week off-season and 4 – 5 hours per week in-season
The Executive Committee will work with you to further define your roles and responsibilities.
